WISDOM FROM MICHAEL DUNN, author of What’s The BIG Secret.  From page 147:  “An ancient scripture states that if providence chooses, He can restore the years the locust has destroyed.  In other words, don’t worry about your past.  Your past does not determine your future.  Learn to wear blinders except for the times when experience calls.  Concentrate all of your energy on your future, your dreams, and your desires.  The past will always be there;  we can only influence our future.  http://michaelpdunn.org/Success.html

GRATITUDE – COMMIT TO PAY THE PRICE
By Wes Hopper

"When you decide what you want to do, donʼt just figure out what it is and how to get there.  Find out what the price of that thing is, and go ahead and commit to paying that price."
Jon Morrow

We all know, on some level, that to have a successful life we have to live by truth and not wishful thinking. The problem is that the truth is often not very comfortable compared to our wishes.

Particularly if we're an ambitious entrepreneur starting a new venture. We want things to go fast, and smoothly. The problem is, they rarely do.

If we're living by wishful thinking, we end up doing one of two things. We study the plans, and plan the studies, and plan some more, and never start.

Or we start, and when the first attempt doesn't go well, no one buys the product, or the financing falls through, we give up in discouragement.

Here's what is important to remember - you can only fail if you quit. The setbacks are just part of the process. This is the price that Jon Morrow is referring to in our quote.

Figure out from the start how many false starts, reschedules, failures and setbacks you might have to work through on your way to success.

The price is having all of them, and more, and not quitting.  If you're not willing to pay that price, then don't start.

It's wishful thinking to believe that we can plan a new venture so well that we don't have to deal with setbacks. In fact, the bolder the venture, the more obstacles to success.

The important part of the process is that YOU have to change. That can be uncomfortable, but it's part of the price, too. Overcoming the setbacks is the process that changes you. For the better.

Big jobs, small jobs. It's all the same. You can only fail if you quit.

All the best, Wes
