A STUDY IN A DUMB COLD CALL. This is by Art Sobczak who has written a really great book entitled SMART CALLING, ELIMINATE THE FEAR, FAILURE, AND REJECTION FROM COLD CALLING. The book is directed more to people in sales who call on corporations but the principles either apply or with slight variations apply to real estate agents as well. Everyone in sales ought to read the book, there is “meat” on every page!

THE HEART MENDER, by Andy Andrews. This is a book first issued as Island of Saints. When you read it you are not certain if it is fiction or real life; it happens to be based on real life during World War II in the Mobile, AL area of the Gulf of Mexico. It is a truly remarkable story made even more remarkable given that it is true. Check it out for yourself. Anything Andy Andrews does is great:

SOCIAL MEDIA TIP: On a lot of social media sites like, you are only allowed so many characters. So how do you insert a long URL (domain name)? For example, one of the link above regarding free NAR Webinars had over 250 characters in the URL address. If you go to, you simply copy and paste your long web address in the appropriate box and click on MAKE TINYURL, and it provides you with a very short URL address that would fit nicely into a limited space.
