QUOTE:  "When we do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another."  Hellen Keller  Gymbeaux Note:  As great as Keller’s statement is there is a word missing – REALLY.  No the word is really - really.  Read it again but this time with the word “really” inserted.  “When we REALLY do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another.”  Are we “really” doing the best that we can at any given moment?  Really?  Or are we going through the motions of appearing to do our best?  Just asking….

FROM THE WORLD OF STEVEN WRIGHT: I wrote a song, but I can't read music. Every time I hear a new song on the radio, I think "Hey, maybe I wrote that."

WISDOM FROM MICHAEL DUNN, author of “What’s The BIG Secret?”  We have two brains.  The right brain works with our conscious to access supernatural information in a mature state of mind.  The left brain works with the ego to work and get things accomplished.  When we work backwards and get our information from the left brain our ego begins to drive us.  Take time each day to access your conscious.  Learn more here: http://www.thebigsecret.org/BRAINSECRETS1.html

THE LAW OF ATTRACTION IN YOUR FAVOR.  This is a great article written by Natalie Ledwell.  Ledwell talks about how to put the Law of Attraction to work in your life to achieve your most lofty goals and desires.  Why would you not read this and give it a try?  Doesn’t cost you a dime.  http://www.lawofattractionkey.com/1325/the-law-of-attraction-in-your-favor/

TAKE THE PLEDGE, at www.ThePositivePledge.com  If everyone did this, truly did this, it would be a much better world.  From Jon Gordon.  I took the pledge - Gymbeaux

5 TIPS TO BELIEVING YOU CAN from www.SalesDog.com and written by Rochelle Togo-Figa.  Great article.  Togo-Figa states that we have thousands of thoughts everyday and we do.  The question should be, how many are positive and how many are negative?  Try keeping score for just one day.  Get a pocket tablet, put a line down the center of the page.  On one side keep track of every positive thought you have and on the other side keep track of every negative thought you have.  My guess is that the negative side will be much longer than the positive side.  Once you become aware of how you think you can work on “thinking in a certain way” as Wallace Wattles repeatedly writes about in The Science of Getting Rich (not necessarily talking about money when he uses the word “rich”.  The book is in the Document section of www.SlidellCalendar.com in the eBook folder).  Read the article here:  http://www.salesdog.com/newsletter/2012/sales_training_nl0569.htm

EAGLE CAMERA:  This pair of bald eagles just had two of their three eggs hatch and this link is a live video stream from Iowa! Click on this link and scroll down to the video and click the arrow to play it. You can enlarge the video to fit your whole computer screen by clicking on the box-shaped icon under the video. You can also read about the journey of these amazing birds on this page.  http://www.alcoa.com/locations/usa_davenport/en/info_page/eaglecam.asp

THE SCARY CONSEQUENCES OF A LOST SMART PHONE:  This will get your attention.  http://www.credit.com/blog/2012/03/the-scary-consequences-of-a-lost-smartphone/

THE BUBBLE OF OPTIMISIM by Jon Gordon.  How can you surround yourself and your business with a “bubble of optimism” and if you did, what could happen?  http://www.jongordon.com/newsletter-bubble-of-optimism.html

GYMBEAUX PERSONAL REQUEST:  I am only 11 connections away from hitting my goal of 1000 connections on www.LinkedIn.com.  If you and I are NOT LinkedIn, please go to www.LinkedIn.com/in/gymbeaux and let’s get linked and help me hit my goal.  By the way, you should be doing the same thing.  LinkedIn is a social media site where people in business link up with each other.

"When you write down your ideas you automatically focus your full attention on them.
Few if any of us can write one thought and think another at the same time.
Thus a pencil and paper make excellent concentration tools. "
Michael LeBoeuf

When we're doing any kind of creative work, there's a time for free flowing ideas and a time for focus and concentration.

We need both to do our best. The trouble is that creative free flowing thinking is fun, and concentration is work!  Or it feels like work, anyway.

So we tend to avoid it. Or struggle with it. And the result is that we don't always get the best out of our work that way.
Change your subconscious mind and get more done. Get it today, and get started!
So let's use the simple shortcut that our quote suggests. Put pencil to paper and write.

"Write what?" you might ask. Write out the problem. Write out the question. Write out answers, ideas, to-do lists, anything that comes up.

Writing by hand forces us to concentrate and limits the wandering mind. Out of that comes ideas - some of them good and some of them not.

But the creativity is flowing and you want to write everything down and evaluate it later.

You can't be writing about one thing and thinking about another. This is a forced focus that will help.

Remember not to judge or evaluate anything until the writing is done. And then be careful what you throw out.

You could have a wild and crazy idea there that with a little bit of fixing could be just what you need,

Try it, you'll like it!

All the best, Wes

QUOTE:  "There is no defense against adverse fortune which is so effectual as an habitual sense of humor."  Thomas W. Higginson (Author, 1823-1911)

TIME SENSITIVE – FACEBOOK GROUPS VS FACEBOOK PAGES VS FACEBOOK FAN PAGE, free WEBINAR Thursday March 22.  Registration has filled up very quickly and there may not be “seats” available.  https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/379378634

FROM THE WORLD OF STEVEN WRIGHT:  For my birthday I got a humidifier and a dehumidifier. I put them in the same room and let them fight it out.

WISDOM FROM MICHAEL DUNN, author of “What’s The BIG Secret?”  Keeping a journal is something corporations, professional athletic teams, entrepreneurs, and 3%’s (you need to read the book for an explanation) claim is a necessity.  Even though they might not call it a journal, they all use some type of written record to keep up with progress and set goals so their subconscious brain can retrieve all necessary information needed to accomplish the task it has been handed. (From page 149).  Gymbeaux Note:  Gary Keller teaches to keep, as he does, a spiral bound notebook.  In it he writes down everything that occurs, anything worth keeping a record of, goals, notes, quotes, training notes from classes attended, books, etc.  Each notebook has a beginning date and when the pages are completely filled up, an ending date.  He keeps his notebooks literally forever.

THE POSITIVE PLEDGE, by Jon Gordon.  If we all did this every day, do you think our attitudes would be better?  http://www.jongordon.com/newsletter-positive-pledge.html

GET MAD AT THEM DAMN EGGS!  Joe Tye says it all about overcoming life’s challenges and staying positive in this very short and meaningful article:  http://tinyurl.com/7jdacab

VALUES = >BEHAVIORS = >OUTCOMES!  If you KNOW, and more importantly PRACTICE your core values, that will result in greater BEHAVIORS that in turn will result in greater OUTCOMES!  Another short but extremely valuable lesson from Joe Tye:  http://tinyurl.com/7rqb8zh

GREAT FREE APP:  Every look at a star in the sky and wonder what it is called or could it possibly be a planet?  Everyone has.  There is a free app for your smart phones and tablets that tells you in an instant.  Look for and download Google Star Map.  Example, my grandson and I were looking at the stars and one seemed to be red.  Loaded the Star Map and surprise, it was in fact the planet MARS.  We turned around and saw two more bright stars and they turned out to be Jupiter and Venus.  He now checks out the heavens on a regular basis; he is fascinated and that is a good thing.

GYMBEAUX NOTE ON THE MILLIONAIRE REAL ESTATE AGENT:  I am always shocked to learn just how many people in business, not just real estate, have not read The Millionaire Real Estate Agent.  I can understand why people not in the real estate business might not pick up the book, but real estate agents not reading it – shocking.  Don’t let the title confuse you.  Yes it is about netting $1,000,000 in commissions IF YOU WANT TO; BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE $1,000,000 (some agents just think that means working much harder than they want to).  You can use the principles in the book to net $20,000, $300,000, $1,000,000 or whatever income you desire.  If someone gave you the key to a chest loaded with treasure, would you not use the key to open the chest?  Of course you would.  Gary Keller, Dave Jenks and Jay Papasan have done just that; given you the key to an unlimited future.  They interviewed over 50 real estate agents who have netted over one million dollars from a lot of different real estate companies and discovered that they were all doing very similar activities to do so.  This book represents the results of those activities and describes them in a very easy to understand AND PERFORM reading.  But there’s the rub so to speak, you first have to read it.  I must have said this over a thousand times, the book is about building a business any business not just real estate to whatever size business you desire.  As important, it is NOT about the money you can make in your business, instead it is about what the money can do for you to achieve your life’s goals and/or mission.  Whether you want to build a SUCCESSFUL real estate business or a donut shop, don’t just read this book – MAKE A STUDY OF IT!

QUOTE:  "I wish to say what I think and feel today, with the proviso that tomorrow perhaps I shall contradict it all."  Ralph Waldo Emerson (Poet, 1803-1882)

FROM THE WORLD OF STEVEN WRIGHT:  I bought some batteries, but they weren't included. So I had to buy them again.

WISDOM FROM MICHAEL DUNN, author of “What’s the BIG Secret?”  Change occurs in our outward life little by little; your finances, relationships, and environment.  But internally, it can change quickly by gaining control of your thoughts which are the rudder of your emotions.  http://michaelpdunn.blogspot.com/

JOE TYE ON NEGATIVE TOXIC ATTITUDES:  As usual, Jeaux hits the nail on the head. Time to examine your attitude and how you respond to life’s daily activities.  There is a link to a great video within the article and also linked below in case you missed it in the newsletter.  http://tinyurl.com/86arwuy

HOLY BAT*&$% BATMAN!  Amazing video about a roof repair and bats.  You won’t believe this one.  http://www.videofantastica.com/view_video/111489/

DO YOU HAVE AN ELEVATOR PICTURE?  We have heard of the Elevator Pitch, but how more effective would an Elevator Picture be?  When someone asks you what you do, “It will be much faster if I show you.”  What this video by Andy Horner, Ace of Sales.  Gymbeaux Guess:  Maybe 3 people will watch this video and run with the idea; that means over 75 will not.  Kind of proves Horner’s point.  http://www.andyhorner.com/blog/are-you-smarter-at-selling-than-a-missionary/

WHAT IS CROWD SPRING?  It is a unique web site, www.crowdspring.com.  You tell them what you want and they send out your requirements to numerous designers who design a product (campaign) for you and then you can buy it if you want to from the designer you choose.  Great for creating ad campaign visuals.

DON’T BUNGEE JUMP NAKED, humorous video by Jeanne Robertson.  Too funny.  http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=L1_W0LCHwK4

NOW IS THE TIME FOR YOU TO WRITE:  By Jeffrey Gitomer.  Gitomer tells you how he got started and more importantly continued.  If you don’t want to write for the public, write for your children.  Long into the future, your writings will mean more to your family than you can ever imagine when they no longer have you to talk to.  http://www.gitomer.com/articles/ViewPublicArticle.html?key=ajcdMibak3Mw1IPXuIW0pg%3D%3D

PERSONAL SAFETY ISSUE:  This information was provided by Dr. Tom Hill in his weekly Eagle Institute Ezine and is pretty amazing.  It involves YOUR personal safety and what you occasionally cannot see that is actually there.

Motion Induced Blindness

This is frightening! It works exactly like it says, and is one major reason people in cars can look right at you (when you're on a motorcycle or bicycle)---AND NOT SEE YOU.

From a former Naval Aviator--

This is a great illustration of what we were taught about scanning outside the cockpit when I went through training back in the '50s. We were told to scan the horizon for a short distance, stop momentarily, and repeat the process. I can remember being told why this was the most effective technique to locate other aircraft. It was emphasized (repeatedly) to NOT fix your gaze for more than a couple of seconds on any single object.

The instructors, some of whom were WWII veterans with years of experience, instructed us to continually "keep our eyes moving and our head on a swivel" because this was the best way to survive, not only in combat, but from peacetime hazards (like a midair collision) as well. We basically had to take the advice on faith (until we could experience it for ourselves) because the technology to demonstrate it didn't exist at that time. http://www.msf-usa.org/motion.html

QUOTE:  "If you don't make a total commitment to whatever you're doing, then you start looking to bail out the first time the boat starts leaking. It's tough enough getting that boat to shore with everybody rowing, let alone when a guy stands up and starts putting his life jacket on."  Lou Holtz (former Notre Dame football coach)

FROM THE WORLD OF STEVEN WRIGHT:  When I get real bored, I like to drive downtown and get a great parking spot, then sit in my car and count how many people ask if I'm leaving.

WISDOM FROM MICHAEL DUNN, author of “What’s the BIG Secret?”  I am moving into a new house.  My wife told me that she wanted to change the landscape and garden.  I was going to begin to do the work she requested, but realized I had no clue what she actually wanted.  I needed a plan.  I needed the plan in HER heart.  What's the plan for your life.  God can't move on your desires until you make it clear.  Write down exactly what you desire and don't expect God to read your mind.  I am sure he can, but for some reason plans are activated by speaking and writing them into existence.  Thoughts are just thoughts until you give them power.  www.michaelpdunn.org  Gymbeaux Note:  Use a pen and paper, not a computer when you first write out your goals.  There is something magical that happens when you take a thought from your mind, run it down the length of your arm to your hand and out through the top of your pen onto paper.  I can’t site the study but a study has been done and this has been proven to be the case.

REMEMBER WHAT MADE YOU GREAT, by Dave Anderson.  Thought provoking article.  Step out and step up!  This comes from www.SalesDog.com a weekly sales online newsletter well worth the free subscription:  http://www.salesdog.com/newsletter/2012/sales_training_nl0566.htm#newsletter
