QUOTE:  "When we do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another."  Hellen Keller  Gymbeaux Note:  As great as Keller’s statement is there is a word missing – REALLY.  No the word is really - really.  Read it again but this time with the word “really” inserted.  “When we REALLY do the best that we can, we never know what miracle is wrought in our life, or in the life of another.”  Are we “really” doing the best that we can at any given moment?  Really?  Or are we going through the motions of appearing to do our best?  Just asking….

WISDOM FROM MICHAEL DUNN, author of “What’s The BIG Secret?”  We have two brains.  The right brain works with our conscious to access supernatural information in a mature state of mind.  The left brain works with the ego to work and get things accomplished.  When we work backwards and get our information from the left brain our ego begins to drive us.  Take time each day to access your conscious.  Learn more here: http://www.thebigsecret.org/BRAINSECRETS1.html

5 TIPS TO BELIEVING YOU CAN from www.SalesDog.com and written by Rochelle Togo-Figa.  Great article.  Togo-Figa states that we have thousands of thoughts everyday and we do.  The question should be, how many are positive and how many are negative?  Try keeping score for just one day.  Get a pocket tablet, put a line down the center of the page.  On one side keep track of every positive thought you have and on the other side keep track of every negative thought you have.  My guess is that the negative side will be much longer than the positive side.  Once you become aware of how you think you can work on “thinking in a certain way” as Wallace Wattles repeatedly writes about in The Science of Getting Rich (not necessarily talking about money when he uses the word “rich”.  The book is in the Document section of www.SlidellCalendar.com in the eBook folder).  Read the article here:  http://www.salesdog.com/newsletter/2012/sales_training_nl0569.htm

 GRATITUDE – AUTOMATIC FOCUS

"When you write down your ideas you automatically focus your full attention on them.
Few if any of us can write one thought and think another at the same time.
Thus a pencil and paper make excellent concentration tools. "
Michael LeBoeuf

When we're doing any kind of creative work, there's a time for free flowing ideas and a time for focus and concentration.

We need both to do our best. The trouble is that creative free flowing thinking is fun, and concentration is work!  Or it feels like work, anyway.

So we tend to avoid it. Or struggle with it. And the result is that we don't always get the best out of our work that way.

So let's use the simple shortcut that our quote suggests. Put pencil to paper and write.

"Write what?" you might ask. Write out the problem. Write out the question. Write out answers, ideas, to-do lists, anything that comes up.

Writing by hand forces us to concentrate and limits the wandering mind. Out of that comes ideas - some of them good and some of them not.

But the creativity is flowing and you want to write everything down and evaluate it later.

You can't be writing about one thing and thinking about another. This is a forced focus that will help.

Remember not to judge or evaluate anything until the writing is done. And then be careful what you throw out.

You could have a wild and crazy idea there that with a little bit of fixing could be just what you need,

Try it, you'll like it!

All the best, Wes
