QUOTE: The
Law of the Out or Back Door (Option) by Bob Burg.
The bigger the out or the back door you give someone to take, the less
they will feel the need to take it. The
greater the level of choice one has, the less he or she feels the need to
exercise that choice.

YOUR STR POWER, SCRIPTS FOR YOUR SUCCESS FROM HOWARD
BRINTON: www.StarPower.com. LISTING PRESENTATION – EXPLAIN MARKETING
CONTINUED (from last week’s newsletter which is archived on the blog): I
am going to advertise your property on the back of all the fliers on all my
listings. Mr. Seller, this brochure is
going up on 30 other listings around the area so your property is not only
going to have exposure here, it’s going to have exposure at ___ other sites as
well. Visitors to other properties will
get information on your home. So you
see, turnabout is fair play. We’ll
advertise theirs and they’ll advertise yours!
(Gymbeaux Note: This can also play out by asking newer agents
or even experienced agents to include your listing on the back of their
property fliers as well, why wouldn’t they?
It may generate a sale for their buyers who do not elect to buy their
listings)
WISDOM FROM MICHAEL DUNN, author of What’s
The BIG Secret. http://michaelpdunn.org/Success.html
From Page 169: Remember that your brain does not understand
the concept of sarcasm, joking, or statement of self-pity. It only programs the words and works to bring
them to pass. People’s lives reflect
what they say, whether it is about themselves or others. Our
heart, soul, and mind move in the direction of the attitude we create. Take some time to dwell on that
one….. (Gymbeaux Note: Have you ever heard a fellow agent say things
like “Why do I always get the difficult-to-work-with clients?” Could it be that their statement is asking
the conscious to find difficult clients and as a result they get more of what
they think about most? Or, “Why do bad
things always happen to me?” If this is
true, then why would anyone think negative self-defeating thoughts?)

INTERNET SCAMS. Do not open emails from people
you do not know or from people you know where there is no text and only an
Internet link. You are also encouraged
to trash emails from places like banks and restaurants that go into your spam
folder and offer you deals that are obviously too good to be true like $100
gift cards by following a link. Also be
very cautious in responding to requests for verification of personal information
from banks that you do business with; don’t know of any bank that would ask for
personal info via an unsolicited email.
Finally, be aware, the IRS does not contact citizens by email asking for
information. Do I need to address the
emails from Nigeria asking to deposit millions of dollars in your bank
account…….

HOW
TO MAKE THE TEDIOUS CHORES ENDURABLE
By
Wes Hopper
"The
victory of success is half won when one gains the habit of setting goals and
achieving them. Even the most tedious chore will become endurable as you parade
through each day convinced that every task, no matter how menial or boring,
brings you closer to achieving your dreams."
Og Mandino
Have you ever had the feeling that what you were doing every day was pretty much pointless? I mean, it was necessary, it was required, it was what you got paid for, but, so what? That's the treadmill that many people trudge on every day. Necessary but meaningless work.
Life only becomes fun when you find meaning in what you do! By that I mean that the work supports you and your personal goals in some way.
One way to create meaningful work is to get clear on your dreams and then look for work that supports the fulfillment of those dreams.
The other way is to take the work you have, and find a way to find meaning in that work. Perhaps you have to redefine what it is you're doing to support, encourage or instruct other people in your current
job. The meaning is there, if you look.
Is that possible for you? Can you look at what you do differently and see something more? Many times you can.
The road to burnout is the road of meaninglessness. Find the joy of service in what you do. Make it part of a goal.
As our quote says, even the most tedious chore will become endurable when we have personal meaning attached to it.
So go change the world!
All the best, Wes
