Online Newsletter for the Week Ending April 15

QUOTE:  “You need to get into the feeling of already having what you want. Relax into the acceptance of it. Experience the feelings now.  Then take action toward your goal, whatever that is in the physical world that you think will manifest those good feelings for you."  Wes Hopper

THE SOCIAL MEDIA BOOM IS HERE AND YOU ARE A BUST!  Jeffrey Gitomer once again tells it like it is.  For the record, I have 732 on www.linkedin.com, how many do you have?  Are you using it?  http://www.gitomer.com/articles/ViewPublicArticle.html?key=ajcdMibak3OTEeG6ecw4Pw%3D%3D

DID YOU KNOW?   My mother was fired from her job because she married my dad.  Why?  Simply because she got married.  Her employer had a rule that they would neither hire nor retain a WOMAN who was or got married.  Come to find out the same applied to school teachers as well at that time (1930’s).  I did not know that.

BOOK RECOMMENDATION:  Jeffrey Gitomer’s Little Book of Leadership.  I have not read a Gitomer book that I did not like; they are all excellent.  This is his latest.  Leadership is not a title, it is an attitude.  Everyone in the Market Center is a leader and I highly recommend reading his book.  www.JeffreyGitomer.com.

IF YOU DON’T THINK TECHNOLOGY MIGHT HAVE PASSED YOU BY, WHAT THIS SHORT VIDEO.  UNBELIEVABLE!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZboxMsSz5Aw

5 WAYS TO THINK LIKE A CHAMPION, by Jon Gordon.  Champions are not born, (well I guess they are born but not necessarily as champions), they are created and in most cases they are self-created.  Everyone, especially those in the real estate business, should (require) have a self-education plan to improve upon your knowledge and skills.  A recent study reported that about 20% of people in sales read at least one (just one?) book on sales or self-improvement, only 20%.  That means 80% read nothing to self-improve.  It has been my experience that most real estate agents (certainly not you) take ONLY the required CE training and rarely attend non-required-CE training courses that would improve their sales or self-improvement.  Here is another GREAT article by Jon Gordon, http://www.jongordon.com/newsletter-071111-think-like-champion.html

PEOPLE CAN’T JUMP ON YOUR BANDWAGON IF IT’S PARKED IN THE GARAGE; great article by  (Ms.) Sam Horn about following your dream and making decisions:  http://serendestiny.wordpress.com/
