Situation, you are at your sellers home and you are preparing one required form after another. The law states you must give the customer a copy of the forms they sign immediately. You plug in your compact scanner, scan the documents, and then, give the originals to the customer. You submit your scanned documents to the Paperless system and wella you are done. “DANGER WILL ROBINSON” (I’m showing my age): A report appearing in the Washington Post on January 13, 2010 indicated that 1.4 MILLION car accidents occurred last year while DRIVERS were using their cell phones. Of that number 200,000 were actually texting. No one appreciates personal freedom more than I do but the time has come where people need to be protected not only from their own actions but more importantly by the senseless actions of others. Unless there is a life-threatening situation there is absolutely no need to use your cell phone while you are driving. If you must use it, pull over; whether you believe it or not, you ARE a menace to public safety. When you make the pledge to NOT use your cell phone while driving you are protecting your own personal liability, the company’s liability, your safety and the safety of everyone on the highway. If you think this only applies to the “other guy” you need to look in the mirror – you can be and probably will be the other guy, it is only a matter of time.
